Q: What interested you about joining the Advisory Board for AutoTech: Europe?
A: Being able to contribute and shape an event which would be a interest and value to my peers, touching pertinent topics and bringing in the right speakers.
Q: What hot topics are you exploring most in the automotive sector currently?
A: Both from a work and personal perspective, the connected car is of special interest to me.
Q: Are there any examples of a product or service from outside of the automotive industry that you have taken inspiration from? What was it, and how was it inspirational?
A: It has to be the smartphone. 20 years ago people were not able to really envisage how truly connected mobile devices in peoples' hands would literally change the world. Although the scale is different, we are going through a similar cycle - and the potential is extremely exciting.
Q: In what way can automakers build a more strategic business through shared learnings with a third party?
A: We are in a situation where multiple industries need to interact successfully with each other to bring to market the best customer experiences. Value the contribution and knowledge from each of them, and understand that all parties have a stake.
Q: How can automakers connect future visions with the reality of current applications and technology?
A: Investigate the value current applications and technologies may have within the auto environment as you consider the level of integration.
